Jack & Jones owner Bestseller to deep-dive into automation with major new logistics centre

The Danish fashion group has entered into a partnership with automations expert Knapp to deliver cutting-edge technology for the centre in the Netherlands, expected to be fully operational at the end 2026.Located in Lelystad, 60 km east of Amsterdam, the 155,000 sq m logistics centre will include the introduction of over 1,400 robots with the centre expected to complete more than 20,000 retrievals per hour, “a significantly higher capacity than the system at the company’s largest current centre”, it said.คำพูดจาก สล็อตเว็บตรง

However, Bestseller said the robots, powered by AI learning technology, will supplement the work done at manual picking stations, adding it expects 600 colleagues will be employed at the new centre, with more than half working “hand in hand” with robots, which will mostly complete demanding tasks such as loading pallets, while helping reduce the need for repetitive manual labour.“Through our partnership… we are aiming to develop one of the most highly automated logistics centres in the fashion industry and across Europe. Investing in this scale of technology will optimise the efficiency of the centre and the process of distributing products to retail customers in our largest markets,” said Allan Kyhe Kjærgaard, Logistics Director at Bestseller.Franz Mathi, Chief Operations Officer of Knapp, added: “The innovative approaches that we are pursuing with our technology and our expertise as a value chain technology partner with this concept will offer Bestseller better advantages along their supply chainคำพูดจาก สล็อตเว็บตรง.
